In a Fifth Avenue building surrounded by a sea of competitors, Wigdor LLP wanted to present a bold, youthful image and distinguish itself as a prestige destination. Using subtle gestures, our design couched the firm’s identity in a crisp minimalism while narrating a sequence of welcoming experiences.
Lit with a blue light, the fifth-floor office’s distinctive, curvilinear wood ceiling is visible from the street. A blue-lit elevator button and, farther on, a blue-stone portico offer visual cues. Conceived as an expansive loft environment and anchored by a dual conference room, the space has a main axis and adjoining passages that are calibrated to reveal dramatic views. Light slots in the utility hallways mimic the passage of natural light, which is pulled across the space. The cafeteria’s glowing, frosted-glass door greets the staff.
